ROLE OF FACULTY/STUDENTS

D. NATURE AND EXTENT OF THE INVOLVEMENT OF THE FACULTY AND STUDENTS IN THE ACADEMIC AFFAIRS / IMPROVEMENTS

  1. A Student Counselor from among the staff going to that class is appointed for every 20 students.
  2. A class committee is constituted with all the staff going to the class as members, a staff not going to the class as Chair person and HOD of the department as Coordinator. A Class committee meeting is held every month to discuss the problems faced by the staff and students, progress of the students to make them come up to the required standard.
  3. Periodic counseling is held by the student counselors with the students of their group to find out their personal as well as academic problems which affect their academic performance and suggestions are made for their improvement.
  4. periodic department meetings with staff and students are held to discuss various issues affecting the progress of the students and suitable remedial measures ar etaken then and there.
  5. Staff meetings are held with HODs and Principal to discuss the overall issues concerning the entire college and steps taken to remedy any anomaly present.
  6. Periodic student feedbacks on teacher's performance in the particular subjects are conducted every semester and the results are summarized by the HOD and a proper feedback is given to the concerned staff for their improvement.
  7. Additional coaching classes for students in their failed subjects are conducted regularly to improve the overall results.
  8. Lesson plans and notes of lesson are prepared by the staff well in advance at the start of the semester for smooth delivery of the subject knowledge to the students.
  9. Suitable text and reference books, both by Indian and foreign authors are selected by the staff and sufficient copies of such books are made available in the library.
  10. Students are monitered through regular internal sessionals and the results are informed to the parents of the students through reguloar mail. The parents of worst performance case students are requested to meet the Principal and suitable actions are taken.
